Dr Peter Jacklyn manages the North Australian Fire Information (NAFI) service, based at the Darwin Centre for Bushfire Research at Charles Darwin University.
He has experience in various aspects of tropical savannas research dating back to the late 1980s. He was also a science broadcaster with Radio National and Communications Coordinator for the Tropical Savannas CRC. His main area of expertise is in working to produce useable research outputs, particularly the maps and satellite data relevant to rural and remote fire management.
